Spots, drops and balloons

Washing

What's that I see on the clothes horse? That's right - it's the new fabric, freshly laundered, ready to be made into Grumble's summer wardrobe! I am especially in love with the balloon print. Ach, if only it came in a colourway to suit me (light blue isn't really for me).

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Father's Day to all the great dads out there. Especially ours. We love ya, Galumph!

  1. I've been thinking ... do you have to watch fabric before you make something with it & do you have to do anything special to it before you wash it?

  2. I love the balloon print! Is that from Tessuti?

  3. Hi Rie

I always wash my fabrics before hand so if they are going to shrink then they shrink before you cut them up and make them into something.

Apart from ironing them before I cut out the pattern, that's all I do.

  4. Hi Brigita

The balloon print is from GJ's in Brunswick. It's from the 'Children at play' collection by Sarah Jane: http://www.sarahjanestudios.com/blog/2011/05/09/introducing-children-at-play/

  5. Thanks for the info and the link. She's got some adorable prints in her collection. Too bad I'm nowhere near Brunswick or any other store selling it. ;)
