The patterns are exquisite! Sophisticated without being too grown up, these designs are timeless yet also modern. According to the designer, she wanted to make a collection of knitwear for children that would be functional for active children and be feminine without being too childish.
There are patterns for sweaters, cardigans, skirts, tops - even snoods! I am seriously hankering to pick up needles right this instant and start making all of the below for the Tyger. Swoon! If only that dress came in grown up sizes...
Note: the book is published in America as Lovely Knits for Little Girls. Oh, and in no way is this a sponsored post. I would totally declaim that shiz if it were. Nah, I just really, REALLY like this book and wanted to share :)
That book looks so sweet! And useful too... there are lots of baby and toddler patterns out there, but not so many for medium-sized girls.
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt with the leaf pattern. That is seriously awesome. If only I had the patience/skill for knitting, the best I do is a plain scarf every winter or so LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat's cooking... hummm from here it smells like a lucky little girl wearing a gorgeous home knit sweater. :_)
ReplyDeleteBeing a Dane it is just marvelous to see you the designs spread to down here - and there are many more beautiful danish knit designs.
ReplyDeleteI got the very same book a few weeks ago, and loved it after borrowing it from the library. I think the patterns are just absolutely gorgeous and plan to knit some for my soon to be niece (for when she is older) and my god - daughter. I cant wait to see what you knit up for your daughter too.
ReplyDeleteOh, me, oh my! I want that leafy skirt. Good buy.
