Sanitary items are my bugbear. When I was a teen, one bought sanitary pads in a cardboard box. Now they're individually plastic wrapped, stacked then plastic wrapped again. I've had mesh produce bags for years, but made myself a set of cotton bulk bin bags and take along jars/bottles for other items. At this point, I don't even miss the stuff I used to buy in plastic.
